When the car senses that the battery is weak or there is a low charge, it will disable convenience features, heated seats being one of them. Others are defrosters, comfort access range decreases or shuts off Passenger side heat is turned on by a junction box via a relay under the pass seat. You may need to run 2 new wires. Check the yellow pass side connector under the seat. Pin 1 and 5 are needed to turn on the heat. Also check that all the thick wires line up between your car harness and the new seats. Blowing warm air, Not hot air. 06 BMW 325i, My car will not blow hot air, Only slightly warm. When it is cold I get no heat. Changed water pump and 3 thermostats, It did not help. I'm told the engine do not reach the correct temperature and the fan comes on to lower the temp even more. The experts are now telling me it could be the DME computer.
First photo, pop off the 2 round plastic covers that conceal the nuts that hold on the large cover and remove the 2 nuts and the cover. 4. Once the water pump stops after 12 minutes, open the reservoir cap (it will hiss a little) and add coolant until the measuring stick (ball indicator) is 6 mm above the top of the filler neck. (review the manual procedure for checking the coolant level so you know what I’m saying) 5. Start by disconnecting the Electrical Connector from that motor, and gently tapping the area surrounding the Motor & Flap Housing. Inspect the Motor & Connector pins & sockets for any obvious corrosion or damage, clean with Electronic Contact Cleaner, reinstall & test at L T-Stat Max Heat.

2nd heating period. Most DIY's I found had you removing most of the dash and I had read other threads that it wasn't necessary. After removing shifter surround, remove
Freon leaks. As we mentioned before, Freon leaks can cause your air conditioner to produce only warm air—or at least not cold air. This could further be due to any other number of issues including O-ring failure or a particular seals deterioration. A thorough inspection of your air conditioning system will quickly detect a Freon leak and can
Reasons: Low coolant levels in your BMW can be caused by a variety of reasons. One potential cause is a leak in the coolant system, which could be due to a damaged hose or radiator. Over time, these components can wear out and develop small holes, causing the coolant to slowly leak out.
BMW thermostat prices will vary depending on the model. Generaly speaking older thermostats from the 1990s and earlier cost about $10 - $20 for an OEM equivalent. However, about $40 for a Genuine OEM BMW part. Thermostats with a built-in electrical heater will cost around $48 for an OEM equivalent and about $105 for a Genuine BMW part.
X5 Speedometer not working. My2006 X5 has been having some electrical problems the past few days. My battery mysteriously died 2 days ago, had it jumped, everything worked fine. The next day when I went to start my car the instrument panel wasn't working at all. I replaced the instrument panel fuze and that fixed everything except the speedometer. I have a 2010 e90 320i. Because its winter now, I use my heater every day. But since last week, on the driver side, no hot air is blowing, even when I set temp on 28 degrees.(Climate control). Any tips?

Heated seat (Drivers) not working. In my 2009 328i, when i push the drivers side heated seat button, it lights for 1 second and then turns off. I have searched on the forums but I am not finding too much. Is there a continuity check I could perform on the seat heating element?

I'm not sure about your Bimmer, but many diesel (non-commercial) engines bypass coolant past the thermostat to make it to the heater core. If the thermostat isn't flowing once heated up, or not flowing enough, the core will never warm up enough to give off heat. This is where I'd personally start looking.
I got a problem with my BMW E90 2007. The Driver side heating is working properly, the hot air comes through vents without issues. The problem is with the passenger side, the vents are open, but there is no hot air there. The air is neutral, maybe little cold. Nothing change even if I put max heating. The coolant level is fine. .
