It's suppose to be better than the Xbox 360 Kinect it has a higher resolution. I don't have Kinect for Xbox 360 I see no point in investing in it, But I have the Xbox 1 Day One edition console with Kinect. I didn't even start using the mic that I got with the console until 2 weeks ago. Sure sometimes Kinect doesn't easily pick up your voice.

With the fan always on when my TV is on I stopped having issues. Kinect consciously turning off on its own. Mine has this issue but has always had nice cool airflow as it just sits in front of my tv in the alcove. I always have to hard reset > unplug the bitch > plug it back in > turn xbone back on.
